Friend -- I worked in New Hampshire during the primary -- which means I spent my days knocking on doors, giving pep-talks to volunteers, and drinking a lot of coffee. All the long hours were tough. That’s why I’m so thankful for the very kind family who opened their home and let me sleep in their guest room. After a long day of talking to voters all over the state, there was nothing better than knowing I had a safe place to stay -- with folks who love Hillary as much as I do. Now that the primary is over, we’re organizing all over the country -- and many of my friends are looking for a great place to stay, just like the one I had. [Do you have a spare room, couch, or a futon that a volunteer or staffer could use to rest?] My Team Hillary host family (as I affectionately think of them) and I had an awesome time together: Some nights we would laugh as I told them stories from the campaign trail, and others they would tell me about what previous elections had been like. It’s totally up to you whether you want to bond with your volunteer, but I can promise you that no matter what, they’ll remember your kindness for years to come. It will mean so much to staffers and volunteers to have a place to go to after a long day of working to elect Hillary. Even if you’re not sure this is something you’d like to do, let us know you’re interested, and we’ll be in touch to answer any questions you may have: Thanks -- and we can’t wait to hear from you, Colin Colin Oldenburg Digital Team Hillary for America Paid for by Hillary for America, a grassroots campaign of 1.5 million donors committed to electing Hillary Clinton (and keeping Donald Trump out of the White House).
