A leather redesign of the iconic bomber [SHOP THIS COLLAB NOW]( It's the Alpha Industries bomber jacket you know and love, but with a premium redesign. Crafted from Napa leather, the unsplit sheepskin makes for the most buttery, durable finish. Featuring a green satin lining and a boxy fit, this is more luxurious and fashion-focused than the bomber you're used to. It's an investment staple that'll stay supple for decades to come, releasing in limited quantities. [ADD IT TO YOUR ARSENAL]( First created for the US military, the MA-1's boxy silhouette and lightweight insulation made the jacket a firm favorite amongst much more than just pilots, launching a storied history from being a subcultural icon to canvas for high fashion experimentation. We've now added our own collaboration to the mix. "When we were challenged with creating an MA-1 jacket, we looked at how we can elevate the standard version," says Nin Truong, Design Director at Highsnobiety. "We picked a smooth leather and added it to a silhouette inspired by Alpha's '90s [Heritage] designs, which are a little more cropped with slightly more volume up top." "We didn't add a whole lot of padding on the inside like the traditional jackets, because we didn't want the leather to be overpowered," continues Nin. "The leather that we picked is soft and smooth, so it almost drapes a little bit."
