They need you disenfranchised, weak, docile, scared, complacent, confused, chaotic. No sovereign populous is easily manipulated. But this programming runs deep. When you give the small self an inch, it takes a mile. This is true of all major transformational journeys, from gym memberships to meditation retreats. You throw up all kinds of excuses, defensive tactics, canned responses, and programmed behaviors. The ego wants things to stay the same. The known and certain awful is always preferable to the unknown and uncertain amazing, as strange as that sounds. It keeps you trapped. Thought is the chain that binds you. These are the Four Objections of the Apocalypse. Truly, when we collectively fall victim to these: chaos thrives, lives stagnate, and society erodes. "Not right now, I don't have the time..." Someday is where dreams go to die. Delay, delay delay. Too busy, not enough time, not a priority, I have that thing coming up, work is getting busier, next month would be ‘better’. The excuses are like a Hydra, address one and three more pop up. You kick the can all the way to your grave. But you might be right. You might not have the time. Good! Because you never have time, you make time. You make time for things that are a priority. So be honest, and say “my initiation into a New Earth Warrior isn’t a priority right now.” I bet that will hit differently. "Not necessary, not important..." The small self will belittle your dreams and choke out your aspirations by slowly eroding their value. Ahh what good will it do anyways, nothing will change. It’s not going to do that much. It’s not important, I have all these other things I need to do right now, this won’t work. It’s not necessary. It’s a subtle way of protecting you from failure. If you never truly care, you never truly fail. Slowly, slowly, apathy takes over. Putting your priorities first is admirable, and I appreciate you for that. And yet, for me and many I’ve worked with, the reality is always different. Are the 2 hours of Netflix, the 90 minutes of Instagram, the endless rumination and dragging your feet really the thing you are saving your time for? Is the 8+ hours of working a job you’re not in love with the thing you’re protecting your time for? Then why are these the things that you’re fighting to protect? Why are these the ‘necessary activities' that you’re defending so passionately? If you don’t sacrifice for your dreams, your dreams will be sacrificed. Act accordingly. "I just need more..." I need more time, better software, more money, more support, a new computer, running shoes. This is the hydra in full force, the last stand of the small self. Throwing everything it can in the way, hoping to trip you up. It’s deeply rooted in a mindset of lack and incompleteness. It makes you believe that you are fundamentally missing something, that once you get this final treasure, everything will sort itself out. You are not incomplete. You have the time, you have the capability, you have the money, you have the desire. You have everything you need, because this opportunity wouldn’t be in your life right now if you weren’t ready for it. You have everything you need. "Not me..." This one breaks my heart, and I have suffered too long from it myself. This is the voice that says you can’t do it. Greatness is meant for someone else, but not for me. You’re stuck with your lot, change isn't possible. Don’t stand up, don’t rise up, this is meant for those guys, but not me. This is the cop-out of thinking that someone else will handle it, someone else will be the hero, someone else will handle MY RESPONSIBILITY. As Vincent Van Gogh said, “If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.” You overcome this objection by doing the thing. Proving to yourself in real life that you have everything it takes and more to cultivate greatness in your life. 👾 THE FINAL BOSS These objections are the final boss. And the final boss always appears before a new level. If you feel any of these: EXCELLENT. You’re right on schedule. The opportunity you have now is to acknowledge the fears, concerns, and questions – and walk boldly and courageously forward. You KNOW these objections are keeping you small. You KNOW you’re hungry and ready to evolve. Now, you must ACT. - Make time for the important things. - Care deeply and be brave enough to value your priorities. - You have everything you need, always. - Know that you have a right to greatness and are ready to take full responsibility. And from this place of grounded confidence, move forward. I understand the decision to join the [WARRIOR100]( is not a small one. That’s why these objections are present. This is the first test.
