Dear Fellow Conservative, Here’s something that probably won’t come as much of a surprise

Dear Fellow Conservative, Here’s something that probably won’t come as much of a surprise to a free-thinking American like you: Public trust in the mainstream media has plummeted to historic lows. In fact, only 34% of Americans trust mass media to report the news "fully, accurately, and fairly." Obviously, this is a huge problem because the media’s job in a healthy society should be to stand against governmental overreach—not for it. Media should fight to get citizens the truth—not cover it up. But here’s a silver lining: this distrust in mass media also means that Americans are waking up to the realization that instead of reliable news, they are being fed a steady diet of propaganda. The bias is nauseating. But it’s not just the propaganda they shamelessly peddle, it’s also the stories they suppress—like the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, just to give one example. The media is supposed to hold our nation’s leaders accountable and give citizens like you the information you need to understand what is really happening in our country—and what needs to be done to fix it. Instead, they blatantly forgo investigative journalism, opting instead to protect their government handlers while pushing a Radical Left narrative that pretends the concerns of conservatives like you simply don’t exist—or are backward, racist, and to use their favorite catchphrase, fascist. I know all of this is infuriating, Friend. I feel it too. It’s easy to feel like the Left perpetually has the upper hand. But I’m here to tell you that real journalism is not dead. It is alive and well here at The Daily Signal, where we have one commitment: getting Americans like you the truth. As the editor-in-chief of The Daily Signal, I want you to know that our renowned team is dedicated to delivering investigative and feature reporting and the most important political news and commentary on the issues that matter most to you and your family. In a news landscape where legacy media outlets often miss the most important stories, The Daily Signal focuses on underreported news and serves as a beacon for reporting on conservative policies and interests. And I asked if I could send you this email today because as someone who values truth and honest debate, I wanted to ask if you would help us usher in a new era of media to deliver honest, hard-hitting journalism on the biggest issues facing Americans. If you would like to help us enhance and expand our investigative reporting and continue to amplify conservative voices in 2023, please help us meet our $487,000 year-end fundraising goal by making a tax-deductible gift using the link below: [() When you give today, you’ll be providing the American public with an alternative to legacy media. Because nothing is more important today than exposing the truth and fighting for real change. Thank you so much for anything you can offer toward these critical efforts.
