We awoke groggily to sounds coming from Kevin, Jim and Bill's side of camp. I unzipped from the bear burrito and followed my nose to find Kevin making bacon (Kevin was both the food and fire master of this journey). Joe came over as well and when Kevin offered us bacon Joe had an idea. Joe walked back over to his tent, unzipped the door and woke Emily up telling her about the bacon. Slooooowly a hand reached from the tent, grabbed the bacon and disappeared back inside fast as lightning. Emily was awake, maybe,

[Four-Links - Museo Piaggio, Paul Bracq, Monaro 50th, Frankenstang]( Posted by Daniel Strohl - Established in 2000, the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera recently got treated to a full renovation. It's now, according to Piaggio, the largest Italian museum dedicated to two-wheeled transportation. That's apparently discounting the space provided for the Ape 70th anniversary exhibit. We mentioned Paul Bracq in the Heuliez 914 story this week in passing, but he deserves a deeper dive, which, coincidentially, Don Andreina at Curbside Classic recently provided in two parts. [Hemmings Find of the Day - 1978 Citroen Lohr Fardier]( Posted by Daniel Strohl - Recently serviced 1978 Citroen Lohr Fardier for sale on Hemmings.com. [1952 Kurtis Kraft 4000 recalls one of Indy's darkest days - and one of its most controversial drivers]( Posted by Kurt Ernst - In five starts at the Indianapolis 500, racer Ed Elisian never finished higher than 18th. It was his second Indy 500, in 1955, behind the wheel of the 1952 Kurtis Kraft 4000 sponsored by Westwood Gage & Tool, that some believe shaped his tragic and macabre career, after witnessing the death of his friend and idol, Bill Vukovich. One of fewer than 15 examples built, the KK4000 driven by Elisian at Indy in 1955 crosses the auction stage on May 19, part of Mecum's 2018 Indianapolis sale. Technically speaking, El...[Read More](

This or Thatis not a comparison report between two vehicles, but rather a feature that enables us, in an idyllic world, to add a collectible vehicle into our dream garage on a weekly basis, but with a catch: We can only pick one vehicle fromthis pairing, and it has to be for enjoyment purposes rather than as an investment. Featured in this edition ofThis or That is a pair of small-block Bosses: a 19...[Read More](
