When covering auctions for our print publications, a simplerule of thumb--that we do our best to adhere to--is to review a few extra vehicular lots. It's good practice, since one never knows if a lot is going to be withdrawn at the last minute, or--worse--we forgot to snag a photo of the car we just examined, only to discover that error when we return to the office. Which means that by the time our more detailed coverage is readied for print, we end up with a...[Read More]( [Pittsfield, Massachusetts, 1959]( [Pittsfield, Massachusetts, 1959]( Posted by Daniel Strohl - Date: circa 1959 Location: Dalton Avenue, Pittsfield, Massachusetts Source: via Bennington Banner What do you see here?...[Read More]( [Sponsor]( [HemmingsPRO]( Seller Listings [1957 Plymouth Fury]( [1957 Plymouth Fury $98,000]( [1985 Porsche 911]( [1985 Porsche 911 $47,900]( [1960 Lincoln Continental]( [1960 Lincoln Continental $18,650]( [1971 Ford Torino]( [1971 Ford Torino $12,990]( [1996 Jaguar XJS]( [1996 Jaguar XJS $46,750]( [1970 Chevrolet Chevelle]( [1970 Chevrolet Chevelle $28,900]( [Learn More]( [This Day in Automotive History] THIS DAY IN AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY 4/27/2009: GM officially discontinues the Pontiac brand UPCOMING EVENTS [Hemmings Motor News Cruise-in]( May 10, 2018 - Bennington, VT [The Greenbrier Concours' d'Elegance]( May 4, 2018 - White Sulphur Springs, WV [2018 Rods on the Bluff May 2018]( May 4, 2018 - Fresno, CA [Norwich Technical High School Car Show]( May 4, 2018 - Norwich, CT [Fontana Car Show]( May 4, 2018 - Fontana, CA [Street Rod Nationals South]( May 4, 2018 - Knoxville, TN [See All Events]( [Sponsor]( FEATURED CLASSIFIEDS Sponsored By: [Sponsor]( [1940 Plymouth Special Deluxe]( [1940 Plymouth Special Deluxe]( [$19,900]( [1942 Buick Century]( [1942 Buick Century]( [$26,500]( [1962 Pontiac Bonneville]( [1962 Pontiac Bonneville]( [$7,000]( [1973 Mercury Cougar XR7]( [1973 Mercury Cougar XR7]( [$12,900]( [1965 Dodge Dart]( [1965 Dodge Dart]( [$22,500]( [1959 Ford Skyliner]( [1959 Ford Skyliner]( [$47,500]( [1954 Packard]( [1954 Packard]( [$44,900]( [1976 Triumph TR6]( [1976 Triumph TR6]( [$14,500]( PROMOTED LISTING [1989 GMC Sierra]( [1989 GMC Sierra]( [$8,900]( PROMOTED LISTING [1969 Chevrolet Chevelle]( [1969 Chevrolet Chevelle]( [$62,500]( [Ford Flathead 49-53.]( [Ford Flathead 49-53.]( [$2,800]( [View All Classifieds]( FEATURED IN THE BLOG [The Stoner T: How to build a hot rod in 10 years (and influence people), part four]( [The Stoner T: How to build a hot rod in 10 years (and influence people), part four]( [Getting an old hot-rod hero back into service: repairing a P-51 Mustang fuel gauge]( [Getting an old hot-rod hero back into service: repairing a P-51 Mustang fuel gauge]( [See All Featured Blog Posts]( FOLLOW US: [Get RSS Feeds of Hemmings Blog]( [Follow us on Twitter]( [Join us on Facebook]( [View our Flickr pool]( [View Newsletter Archives]( WEEK IN REVIEW Thursday, April 26, 2018 [Toyota founder, Click and Clack to be inducted into Automotive Hall of Fame]( [Toyota founder, Click and Clack to be inducted into Automotive Hall of Fame]( Posted by Daniel Strohl - While his cousin and son got in before he did, Toyota Motor Company founder Kiichiro Toyoda will this year take his place alongside them in the Automotive Hall of Fame, as will the two brothers who got more gearheads to listen to NPR than anybody else, Tom and Ray Magliozzi. I've accepted some of it, and came up with ways to make the time involved in doing the tasks a bit easier.
