For most of us, that involved two things: a long weekend and the chance to say a fond farewell to summer before the colder days of autumn arrive. While Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer here, not all of us are excited about the prospect of crisp autumn days and falling leaves. The changing of the season can influence your body’s serotonin and melatonin levels, which play an important role in mood and sleep. Combined with the reduced light, warmth, and color of the autumn and winter months, it can leave you feeling more melancholy or tired.
