Listen, Iâm the first to say I LOVE me some in-person energy. The connections, the buzz in the room, the shiny handouts and the stage⦠I adore it. Last weekâs Million Dollar Action tour still has me pumped! (Thanks again to everyone who showed up!) But even so, virtual events are just as meaningful when youâre building a business and an audience. Why? Three main reasons: First, theyâre low riskâeven if only 10 people signed up, you wouldnât lose money on a virtual event. Unlike a live event, where ticket sales can get straight up desperate as you struggle to at least break even on your costs. If you have never done an event before, a virtual event is a great place to start. Second, theyâre a great way to test and refine your contentâthink of it as practice for that TedTalk or big keynote youâre prepping for. It allows you to get in front of your audience and present your goods. And itâs an exciting opportunity for your potential clients as well. Most people love to attend events around topics that they care about, and they may love it more when there are no travel costs to attend! And third, they might end up being the most powerful tool in your marketing toolbox! Most of my clients are surprised to find that virtual events are more profitable, less stressful, and convert at similar or sometimes even higher rates than their live events. Since 2018, when I was put on bed rest while pregnant with my fourth child, Iâve been utilizing virtual tours to maintain and increase momentum in my business. The skills my team and I learned putting on virtual events became the ultimate assets in 2020. And theyâve fueled our marketing efforts ever since. Interested in seeing how itâs done?
