Make sure you are ready to support all of your event elements with our [Designing Your Event With Connectivity In Mind Webinar!]( The Energy Is Back! This last week, I was in Boston traveling, exploring, and working remotely. It was incredible. To any Bostonians out there, I adore your city and its delicious cuisine. I even got the lox bagel I was craving! [bagel] What made this trip even more interesting was seeing the state of the world first-hand. In a normal week, I would: - Track covid case numbers in the states - Read up on some news about CDC guidelines and mask mandates - Base my understanding of the pandemic on things that I've read However, this week I just walked around this major U.S. city and used social cues to gauge the progress of the pandemic. And let me tell you, Massachusetts is handling the pandemic in a completely different way than Arizona. Everyone is masked wherever they go, restaurants take reservations so they don't fill to capacity, and people are pretty respectful of social distancing still. However, despite the careful behavior, the city felt electric. People were out in the Public Garden enjoying the sunshine and live performers. The restaurants were full of patrons who were eager to eat outside in the beautiful weather. The mood seemed light and cheerful. It was so nice to be out and about while also feeling safe! That's when I realized, we are approaching a world where we can actually have both. I always knew this was an option, but I never really felt it first-hand. With each passing newsletter, I feel like more and more hope is restored. I hope you all feel it too. And more than anything, I am excited for the day when the entire world experiences that feeling of enjoying life and feeling safe.
