Make sure your ready to support all our event elements with our ["Designing Your Event With Connectivity In Mind" Webinar]( The Fight Against Covid isn't a Fair One Vaccinated life is crazy. One minute, I'm working from home, the next minute, I remember I can work from anywhere and decide to book a flight to a place I've never been before. This week, I'm in Boston traveling, working, and eating as many East Coast bagels as I can get my hands on. However, I fully acknowledge my privilege of being in the United States - a country where the vaccine rollout was swift, ferocious, and accessible. I know that people in other countries are far from the possibility of traveling for leisure. While hopping on a plane to the other side of the country, I couldn't help but think about how this entire "race to the end" is wildly unfair. Endless is a fully distributed, remote company, so we have team members all around the world. The stories I've heard from Einsteins in other countries have put things into perspective. Our CFO lives in India and has seen the horrors of the virus first-hand. This week, when he talked about the obscene amount of deaths in his country, I felt an overwhelming wave of sadness and guilt. It's confusing to feel so terrible for other parts of the world while also wanting to celebrate things opening back up in my part of the world. It's almost impossible to ignore the rush of positivity in America. Major live events in the U.S. are [right around the corner,]( millions of people have been vaccinated, trendy terms like [Revenge Travel]( are popping up, and the CDC stated that all vaccinated people will no longer need to wear masks indoors. Even my timeline is peppered with jovial CDC memes: [IMG_3955] Trust me, I don't want to bring the mood down. Yes, it's exciting that the light at the end of the tunnel is right within reach. But, since we live in such a global world, it is wise to recognize that vaccinated people are lucky. Humans are complex, and I believe that we have the ability to both bask in the positivity and also help each other on the way towards recovery. I found an article that explains [effective ways to donate to help India.]( If you are in a position where you want to help, I encourage you to do so. And lastly, I want to celebrate with my event professional community in the U.S. I know this last year contained some of the most difficult moments for our industry. Jobs coming back, events taking place, people being re-united, travel being a possibility, and hope being restored all put a smile on my face. Stay safe out there ❤️ And now, here's the Weekly Soundcheck! 📣 Overcoming language barriers: Translation, captioning, and more [8-min read]( [giphy-1]( We live in an increasingly connected world.
