TRAINING TIP OF THE WEEK [icon] Have you ever looked at your keyword tracker graph and noticed gaps in ranking? Or perhaps you can’t even find your product any more in search results? [icon] For example, above, you can see that normally I’m on page 2 for this keyword, but then all of a sudden for a few days I wasn’t ranking at all. Sometimes this is “normal.” Amazon tests different ranks at times, and based on browsing scenarios you could fall out of the first 7 pages. Other times, its due to whats been called “Amazon Search Glitches.” What happens is that Amazon might be doing massive switching of subcategories, which temporarily affects products being indexed for keywords, and thus they stop ranking altogether. For the above reason, it's important to make sure you have your Alerts turned on so that you know if Amazon changes your category. [icon] Other times, Amazon just might have a glitch where you get de-indexed for seemingly no reason, for many keywords. The Amazon category issue is usually “easy” to fix...Amazon will fix it itself, or you can open a case to try to get your product back in the right category. However, for a random search glitch, theres nothing you can do about it, other than wait for Amazon to correct itself which it always does. If you were deindexed, one thing you could do as a temporary fix is try to put those deindexed keywords into your “Special Features” section in the back end of your listing and many times this helps you re-index. Usually these glitches affect large numbers of sellers at the same time. Because of that, we have a tracker where you can see if Helium 10 has detected search glitches across the board. If not, it means its probably just your listing that needs fixing. You can see this chart and sign up for Alerts at [h10.me/asa]( [icon] As you can see, last month there was actually some of the highest number of glitches we have detected lately, so you might want to check your keyword ranks to make sure you weren’t affected!
