STRATEGY OF THE WEEK [icon] Also, if you didn’t know as of late, both Platinum and Diamond plans have access to Brand Analytics inside of Cerebro. You can find it as a column in your output after you click Get Keywords. For instance, I’m inputting multiple ASINs for the auto face tracking tripod into Cerebro. From there, you can check the column for Brand Analytics conversion share and click share and click the graph icon to expand out historical information. As you can see, you’ll have access to an overview of the top 3 ASINs, and the correlation between organic rank, sponsored rank, click share, and conversion share. Check out this correlation for the keyphrase “tracking tripod for iphone.” Though the number one clicked product has 31.5% Clickshare and 23.5% Conversion Share, it’s sponsored rank is quite low still beating it’s counterpart sponsored placements. Now imagine, if the opposite held true and we saw the organic placement was 17 and sponsored position was one. What kind of extrapolation could you make? Perhaps you could posit that we could opt to bid high for PPC and not worry about ranking organically using CPR number for a given key phrase to generate conversions. Do this for your products and draw your own conclusions.
