STRATEGY OF THE WEEK [icon] In today’s strategy of the week, we are going to talk about one of the most slept on features of Helium 10 which is Amazon recommended rank. Amazon recommended rank is super powerful and we have actually had this tool for about 5 years now and people still overlook it. If you have a product where you’re not getting the impressions that you think you should be getting on PPC even though you think your list is optimized for a certain keyword or you’re not getting any impressions at all, it could be because Amazon doesn’t think that you’re relevant for that keyword. The recommended rank column in Cerebro is the only tool that is going to give you this insight on what keywords Amazon thinks that you’re relevant for and it will be super helpful if you haven’t been showing up for the keywords you know that are most relevant. For example, when we do a reverse ASIN search for our coffin shelf, Amazon says we are most relevant for the keyword “coffin shelf wall.” Although that is a relevant keyword, it’s not our main keyword which is “coffin shelf.” Our relative rank for “coffin shelf,” is spot 27 which shows that we have a relevancy problem and we need to do some optimization to show that we are most relevant for the phrase, “coffin shelf.” Ideally, we should be at spot one for recommended rank because that would mean that Amazon acknowledges that is the most relevant keyword for our listing. Check this out for your own products to see what keywords that Amazon thinks your listing is most relevant for and if they are not your main keyword, try focusing on that keyword in your PPC and in your listing to show Amazon that you are most relevant for that keyword. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
