Quick Cinnamon Rolls Dough 2 cups sifted Gold Medal® Flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 6 tbsp. shortening ⅔ cups milk 2 tbsp. softened butter Cinnamon Mixture ½ c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon Raisins (optional) Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening. Stir in milk. Round up on lightly floured cloth-covered board. Knead lightly. Roll dough ¼” thick into rectangle 7” x 16”. Spread with softened butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon mixture and raisins, if desired. Roll up tightly like a jelly roll, beginning at the wide side. Seal well by pinching edge of dough into roll. Cut into 1” slices. Place cut-side-down on greased baking sheet or in greased muffin cups. Bake at 425 (hot oven) about 15 minutes. Serve hot. Amount: 16 Cinnamon Rolls.
