It is on this day that the pilgrims at Hajj climb Mount Arafah and spend their day in worship and repentance. Why is this day so significant? â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â [Haute Hijab Logo ]( [We made it to another Day of Arafah â Alhamdulillah!] Alhamdulillah for the blessing of making it to another Day of Arafah â the holiest day of the year. It is on this day that the pilgrims at Hajj climb Mount Arafah and spend their day in worship and repentance. Why is this day so significant? The Prophet Muhammad (S) said, âOn this day, Allah, the most Exalted, descends to the nearest heaven, and He is proud of His servants on the earth and says to those in heavens, look at my servants, they have come from far and near, with hair disheveled and faces covered with dust, to seek my mercy. Even if their sins are as much as the sand or the front of the sea, I shall forgive them.â
Â
Alhamdulillah, Allah (S) has granted us all the ability to reap the benefits of the Day of Arafah, whether we are performing Hajj or not. Today, Allah (S) answers your calls and forgives your sins â no matter what state you come to Him in. For those of us who arenât performing Hajj, one of the best acts we can do on this day is fast. Prophet Muhammad (S) said of fasting today: âIt expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming yearâ Sahih al-Muslim. It is a day not to be squandered, but a day to dig deep into our worship. What a beautiful gift today is. The deeds are multiplied and Allah (S) awaits for you to come back to Him so He can forgive you and grant you anything you ask for. Remember, Allah (S) knows what state youâre in.Â

The Prophet (S) used to recite the above prayers as many times as possible on the Day of Arafah, in addition to making his own personal duas. We pray that you find moments when you can make thikr to yourself, give charity, and perform good deeds. If you feel disconnected from Him, take today as the opportunity to reconnect. Pour your heart in prayer. Pray for yourself, for guidance, for forgiveness, for anything and everything you could ever want. Pray knowing your Lord is bigger than any of your pains and troubles. Pray for health and healing, for justice for those who need it most, for peace and happiness, for rights to be wronged, and those suffering to receive ease. May Allah (S) accept all our deeds today, and may He answer all our duas and forgive us of all our sins.
