New product features and our plans for the rest of the year [Hasura][Hasura]() Hi there, It’s that time of year again — HasuraCon is back for its 3rd edition next week! We usually start our newsletter off with product updates, but with HasuraCon right around the corner, we’d love for you to join us live, and hear all about what’s new, what’s coming up, and also catch up on any updates you might have missed from earlier in the year! In case you’re new here, HasuraCon is our annual user conference. It’s where we talk about our focus for the year, announce new features, showcase customer stories, and lots more. Not using Hasura yet? No problem! You’ll hear from real users about how they’ve adopted GraphQL and Hasura to shorten their time to an API. We also have several hands-on workshops to help you get started! The theme this year is GraphQL for Everyone, with a key focus on using GraphQL to unlock data. #HasuraCon is happening online from June 28 – 30 and all you need to attend this year is a browser and an internet connection. It is completely free. Sessions you don't want to miss! - CEO Keynote: Tanmai Gopal will kick off HasuraCon with a talk about the role of the Data API in dealing with the explosion of data on the backend and empowering teams working on the frontend — and how Hasura plans to play a key role in this future. - Building New Data Backends for Hasura: We suspect this will be very exciting for everyone in the community :) We don’t want to give too much away but make sure you don’t miss this session to find out how we’re going to be able to massively accelerate the databases that Hasura supports. - Fireside chat with Vint Cerf: The founding father of the internet, joins Tanmai in a fireside chat. He’ll be discussing where he expects future inflection points in tech! [Register for Hasuracon]( The agenda this year is power-packed with something for everyone. I strongly urge you to take a look at the [full agenda.]( Here are some of my favorite sessions I think you might enjoy: - Product Launches: I highlighted one in the previous section, but there are a lot more! Find out what’s new with the GraphQL Engine, Hasura Cloud, and Hasura Enterprise. - Hasura Workshops: We’ve got four live, hands-on workshops for you to level up your and your team’s Hasura skills. - [Beginner] Intro to Hasura and Securing Your GraphQL API with Hasura - [Advanced] Creating and Federating Data Across a Unified GraphQL API and Reusing REST APIs with Hasura *Each workshop is 90 minutes and happens consecutively — you can attend both workshops at a particular skill level and build on the skills you learn! - Come for the features, stay for the deep dives: Join senior product managers for an in-depth look at the observability of your Hasura-based apps and CI/CD workflows with Hasura Cloud. Each talk will be followed by a live Q&A. - Stories In Production: Personally, this is my favorite part of HasuraCon! Getting to hear from the community and our customers on how their teams are using Hasura in production: - Taller, a dev shop for Fortune 500 companies, will show us how they use Hasura to power a popular Brazilian news site. - Learn how we use Hasura to power Hasura Cloud — one of the largest use cases of the GraphQL Engine in production. :) - Hasura as an Operational Data Layer: Dan Keeley, Head of Data Engineering at hubb Technology, will show you how the insurance industry, a traditionally slow-moving domain, is accelerating with the help of Hasura to power real time insights from their data warehouse. - Data Journalism: Find out how the Marshall Project (a Pulitzer Prize-winning project) is using Hasura to find stories and speed up fact-checking. - Hasura in Healthcare: Get an inside look at how RxVantage migrated an RoR-backed, multi-tenant healthcare SaaS app to Hasura and the huge performance and organizational benefits they realized. - Fintech: Gajigesa, a fintech startup in Indonesia talks about how they use Hasura to reduce development cycle times. - For the Frontend & Serverless Developers: If you work on the frontend and with serverless functions, we have a whole track dedicated to you: - Jason Lengstrof from Netlify will show you how to personalize websites with zero client-side JS. - Hasura’s Jesse Martin will show you how to use Hasura to build apps on Vercel’s platform. - Raquel Smith, CEO of Brunch, will talk about her experience going from front-end dev to database engineer with Hasura. - More Workshops: We’ve partnered with some amazing companies to bring you workshops with broad skills: - Learn how to squeeze every ounce of performance out of Postgres - Google Cloud is hosting a workshop on Developer Superpowers with Postgres. - Join Jamie Barton from The Guild and learn how to Build a Modern GraphQL Server using GraphQL Yoga and the Modern JS Ecosystem Tools. - The folks from StackHawk will introduce you to Automated GraphQL Application Security Testing. Click the button to check out the entire schedule, add your favorite sessions to your calendar, and register for HasuraCon'22. I’d love to hear about the sessions you’re most excited about! Drop me a line and I can pass it on to the team! [Register for Hasuracon]( And, finally, an amusing project for HasuraCon this year is our custom avatars!
