Hasura now supports inherited roles. The recordings for GraphQL Asia 2021 are available online. [Hasura][Hasura]() Hi there, We’re still recovering from the Hasura 2.0 launch & GraphQL Asia last month :) It was great to see all the support from our community, it means so much to us 🤗 If you missed out on Hasura 2.0 demos, you can catch the webinar recording, or join us for our community call this week for some feature deep dives (links in the highlights below). The 3rd edition of GraphQL Asia was our biggest yet! There were some really amazing talks by speakers from all over the world. The recordings are now available. Highlights - Catch up on the Hasura 2.0 [launch webinar]() - The talks from GraphQL Asia 2021 are [now live]()! - Register for the March [Community Call]() - [Inherited Roles](): You can now create descriptive permission groups that are a combination of one or more base roles. This has been one of the most requested features in the Hasura product backlog and we are extremely excited to be able to make this available for the community. - [‘ltree’ Comparison Operators](): Hasura 2.0.0-alpha.3 supports `ltree` columns and provides various operators on such types. Search and validation of hierarchical types ( Postgres `ltree`) is now available, including _ancestor, _descendant, _matches and, of course, their _any variants. - [Config v3 CLI:]() Hasura CLI Config v3 comes with improved workflows for users with large metadata and support for multiple data sources. You can now split table.yaml into individual files per table. This makes collaboration and reviews easier. - We fixed a long-standing issue around inserting nested data for one-to-one relationships. You can read more details in the [original issue.]() - [Microsoft SQL Server Updates](): Since the initial launch, our support for MS SQL now includes support for views and GIS types. Hasura Console now supports browsing rows, as well as setting up relationships and permissions. The team continues to push out new features and stability improvements across all fronts and we’ve been loving your feedback and excitement about these new releases. In our community call this week, we will be diving into some of these features with in-depth demos and our product & engineering teams will be around to take any questions! Do join us on March 25th (Thursday), at 9 am PT! You can find the full agenda [here](). Samuel is a Software developer and Technical Writer who loves creating content for the community. Monthly Recommendations This month’s recommendation comes from Lyndon, an engineer at Hasura: [Sampson Boat Co]() is my all-time favourite YouTube channel! It follows a boat builder who buys a 100+ year-old sailing boat on a whim and embarks on a multi-year journey to restore it to pristine condition. It’s both meditative and transfixing. Recently, there have been some bureaucratic twists that will put you on the edge of your seat and make you angry which was very unexpected! If you start watching now you’ll be able to witness them put the final external plank on the ship as it happens. There are almost 100 episodes now (up to 93) so there’s a lot of content to get through if you like binge-watching shows too! Here’s [episode 1](). For a little bonus here’s a [music recommendation](). It’s hard to describe the absolute perfection of this transcription and performance and it’s under 10 minutes too! Jobs Jobs @ Hasura We are hiring for several roles across engineering, product, marketing, sales and more. Please look at our [careers page]() if you’re interested or know someone who might be. We also have a [jobs channel]() on our Discord server where the community posts relevant job openings in case you’re interested. That’s all we have for you today :) -- Rajoshi P.S.
