I’m Dave Harden and I’m running for Congress because Andy Harris is a threat to democracy

I’m Dave Harden and I’m running for Congress because Andy Harris is a threat to democracy at home and abroad. In my years as a senior diplomat, I watched democracies rise and fall. I helped build burgeoning nation states. And I have seen people like Andy Harris around the globe bring their country to the brink of civil war. My focus in the Foreign Service was the intersection of conflict and economics. I oversaw billion dollar budgets and massive staff. I served in the most dangerous places on earth. ISIS even tried to assassinate me in 2016. Yet, I continued to serve our great country because I am not afraid of the enemies of democracy. My experience has uniquely prepared me to represent this district. I’ve worked with developing economies in forgotten parts of the world. The First District has been left behind. There has been a shift in political power to the metro areas, leaving the rural economy in despair. The First District has limitless potential, and we need to seize these opportunities. We need a bold leader, public servant, and lifetime Marylander representing our needs in Congress. It’s time for more results and less politics. I’m Dave Harden and I’m going to put the First District first. [Click here to join the movement.]( Dave Dave Harden is a Democrat running for Maryland's 1st Congressional District.
