I’m Dave Harden and I’m running for Congress to revitalize Maryland’s First District.

I’m Dave Harden and I’m running for Congress to revitalize Maryland’s First District. In my years in the Foreign Service, I worked with those who have been left behind and helped revitalize their communities. I oversaw large budgets and helped these communities get back on their feet by building schools, bridges, and eventually, economies. Will you donate to my campaign today to help me bring that experience to Washington? I’m Dave Harden and I’m running for Congress to revitalize Maryland’s First District. In my years in the Foreign Service, I worked with those who have been left behind and helped revitalize their communities. I oversaw large budgets and helped these communities get back on their feet by building schools, bridges, and eventually, economies. [Will you donate to my campaign today to help me bring that experience to Washington?]( The First District, and rural America as a whole, is a case study of where this approach needs to be applied. The rise of populism and the election of Donald Trump make clear that rural America feels left behind. People like Trump and Andy Harris prey on this, offering the world but returning nothing. Populism is based in fearmongering; my plan is based in results in communities all over the world. To revitalize our district, we need to build the next generation economy. We need to facilitate the acquisition of new technology for small farmers so they can compete with big ag. We need to participate in the cleaning of the Chesapeake so the watermen can sustain their livelihoods and way of life. We need to create a viable broadband system throughout the Eastern Shore. We need to integrate climate infrastructure into the district to help prevent the disastrous effects of climate change. Dorchester County is already starting to sink. This is not ok. To succeed in our fight for Maryland’s future, we need to take a bottom-up approach. When solutions are being discussed solely on the House floor, the peoples’ voices are being ignored. My role in Congress will be to ensure that everyone has a say, especially those most affected, just as I did as Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance at the United States Agency for International Development. Residents of the First District, for the last 11 years, have witnessed the wrong way to legislate. My experience uniquely prepares me to legislate the right way and finally propel the district into the 21st century and beyond. [With that being said, I'm asking you to chip in $20 to help me bring comeptence, experience, and leadership to MD-01 this year. Can you help me out?]( Thank you so much, Dave Harden Dave Harden is a Democrat running for Maryland's 1st Congressional District. Dave's running to replace Andy Harris and will help the 1st District unlock its extraordinary potential. Support Dave with a donation today.
