Sarah is a HappyCow Ambassador for Cologne. [View this email in your browser]( [HappyCow]( [Cowmunity Spotlight]( Meet Sarah! [Sarah]( has been an active member of the #HappyCowmunity since 2020 and is frequently a top Ambassador, sharing photos and reviews of vegan food in her hometown [Cologne]( and from her travels around the globe 🌍 Sarah is a long-time veg*n [HappyCow Ambassador Sarah]( I became vegetarian when I was nearly 13 years old. My main reason was the well-being of animals. I was actively doing track and field and always had a high interest in nourishing my body with lots of delicious food. I am not gonna lie – it took me a while going completely plant-based, and it wasn’t clear to me that dairy industry, for example, is such a cruel one, but I cannot think of going back having animal products in my life. It’s a decision which has to be made by each one individually, and I am glad I had a great vegan friend supporting me on that journey. I have lived in multiple countries and try to travel the world as much as I can and never felt like there are no vegan options (except for Philippines back then). Her favorite restaurants include... [Vegan bánh cuốn]( [Well Being]( Cologne [Vegan blueberry cheesecake]( [Café Turtle]( Seoul [Vegan sushi]( [Wild Living Food]( Los Angeles [Tofu and seaweed bowl]( [The Shady Shack]( Canggu [Vegan bun dau mam tom]( [Chickpea Eatery]( Hoi An [Açaí topped with strawberries, granola, and peanut butter]( [Fruitologist]( Bondi [Save these restaurants to your Favorites on HappyCow!]( Vegan options are everywhere! [Vegan red curry with duck]( I am a huge fan of Asian inspired cuisine so [Bangkok]( and [Hanoi]( are the most affordable and veggie-friendly cities, but it depends what you’re looking for. [Sydney]( and [Singapore]( are amazing, and [Seoul]( is probably the most underrated when it comes to vegan food. I am planning on spending more time in [Melbourne]( – this city is one of the most livable cities in the world for a reason (but I love Sydney as well). Can I list all of them? [Check out our Top 10 Vegan-Friendly Cities list!]( Some advice for non-vegans: Going vegan is the most ethical way to live your life. But you shouldn’t be pressured by anyone. I took my time, and that’s just the way it felt right for me. I also learned to cook at a young age. Following [accounts on social media]( and also [traveling]( helped me a lot. I always try to think about how to replace ingredients while not giving up on flavours. Keep up with Sarah!
