[View this email in your browser]( [Sponsored message] The Carpet Design Awards 2021 will be unlike any before. For the 16th edition of this cornerstone of the handmade rug industry celebrating original design and innovation, any company can apply to enter, which will make the awards more competitive and the standard higher than ever. Taking place at DOMOTEX and presented in partnership with COVER and HALI magazines, the Carpet Design Awards have been a highlight of the Hannover fair for fifteen years. For 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the January trade show has been recast as the DOMOTEX Digital Days and scheduled from 19-21 May. The Carpet Design Awards will be at the heart of this new format and comprise nine categories, which are listed below. The Carpet Design Awards have traditionally only been open to exhibitors, but the impossibility of a physical trade show this year means that any eligible handmade carpet company can enter. Each brand will be able to submit a maximum of eight entries in total, or two entries per category, and entry is free of charge. The deadline for entries is 14 April 2021. The winners will be chosen by a jury consisting of leading experts from the design and carpet industry. The jury will be led by Graham Head, the former President and Vice Chair of ABC Carpet & Home, who will be assisted by award-winning interior designer Audrey Carden, Irène Ribeiro, Collection Manager of the Rugs Division at etoffe.com, Uwe Heublein, Product Manager for Carpets at Segmüller, and Creative Director for Christian Lacroix Maison, Sacha Walckhoff. The award ceremony will take place as a virtual live event during the DOMOTEX Digital Days on 20 May 2021. Shortlisted and winning companies benefit from extensive media coverage, including features in COVER magazine and on [cover-magazine.com](.
