But Pride Month is not just about celebrations. It’s also about action, activism, and awareness. As powerful and important as our words and thoughts are, the actions we take to make change and secure the livelihoods of marginalized communities always speak louder. Pride Month is a time to recommit to what might be hard in pursuit of what is just. I'll be blunt: I'm deeply concerned about what's been happening in our country recently with regards to LGBTQ+ equality. Republican state legislatures are passing laws that infringe on people's basic rights and deny their very humanity and identity. Absolutely disgusting rhetoric has been platformed by Fox News and GOP politicians. And we're seeing an alarming rise of violent threats based on anti-LGBTQ+ hate. So this Pride Month, we must show our friends and family in the LGBTQ+ community that we stand with them more than ever and that we will not be silent allies. Let us prioritize action, be on the frontlines of change, and do whatever it takes to defend the rights of others — because the forces of hate and discrimination are no match for all of us when we stand together. I hope you'll join me, [HA Signature]( Hala [DONATE]( York&st=NY&pc=10016&oc=&nvep=ew0KICAiVGVuYW50VXJpIjogIm5ncHZhbjovL3Zhbi9OR1AvTkdQMjEvMS84ODk2MyIsDQogICJEaXN0cmlidXRpb25VbmlxdWVJZCI6ICIzMjM4YjczNC04MjAxLWVlMTEtOTA3Yy0wMDIyNDgzMmViNzMiLA0KICAiRW1haWxBZGRyZXNzIjogInRyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkxQGdtYWlsLmNvbSINCn0%3D&hmac=XUqQGOPrBCV-e4Kw3BOiUzScxr7zKgiZlefT5jtK3bs=) Paid for by Hala for State Senate Hala for State Senate P.O.
