But with three weeks to go, there's still plenty of time to create your project and enter it into one of the noblest categories we've got. [2023 Hackaday Prize: Assistive Tech Challenge]( The Assistive Tech Challenge is all about making people's lives better. This time, we want you to think of ways you can help people with disabilities to move around, work, and just live easier lives with improved technology. You have until May 30th to enter the Assistive Tech challenge of the 2023 Hackaday Prize. As always, there are some sweet prizes up for grabs, from the first place winner to the top 50 finalists. So take these next few weeks to show us what you've got, big or small. And if you need some inspiration, check out a few of the entries we've received so far. Highlights from the IO POPULAR BITS [project thumbnail]( [Pill Dispensing Robot Monitors Meds]( Missing pills can really mess up your days and nights, and there's really no better way to make sure they're administered than to get another pair of eyes on things. In this case, those eyes are in friendly robotic carousel form. [project thumbnail]( [Muscle Tracking Sensor for Prosthetic Hands]( This open-source forearm-tracking sensor uses custom-built pressure sensors made from Hall effect sensors, magnets, and springs to discern the user's intended movements and control a prosthetic hand. The springs are sourced from Cherry MX keyboard switches. [project thumbnail]( [Empowering Speech Through Touch]( While many kinds of communication boards are commonplace among individuals with speech disabilities and their caretakers, this capacitive-touch board even has custom 3D-printed finger guides that make speech as easy and comfortable as possible.
