How low can you go? And for how long? Show us what you got. [3602421454791242043.png] Wednesday, February 1, 2023 [Compact Geiger Counter Lasts Up to Four Months »]( New Year, New Challenges We've got a brand new contest for you to ring in the new year, and it's a topic we know you'll like -- low power. How low can you go, and for how long? That's the name of the 2023 Low Power Challenge, which runs now through March 21st. Up for grabs are three $150 Digi-Key gift certificates, so fire up those soldering irons and bust out those coin cells. [2022 Hackaday Low-Power Challenge]( Of course, this contest isn't strictly about the coin cells -- think solar cells, e-paper displays, or even LCD art projects. We always get a ton of cool entries when we put contraints on you all, so have at it! While it's true that the $150 Digi-Key gift certificates will be awarded to the three best overall entries, we do have some honorable mention categories for which we may have to come up with some additional prizes -- Sensible Sensors, Artful Art, Battery Buster, Perpetual Motion, and Just How Low? While most of these are self-explanatory, [take a look at the contest announcement post]( for more details. Need some inspiration? Keep scrolling to find some of the great entries we've already seen so far. Highlights from the IO
