We ran it back when Hackaday.io was brand new and it was phenomenal. [The 2014 entries]( drew inspiration from all over the Sci-Fi spectrum. Tony DiCola (who is now driving Adafruit's MicroPython efforts) took first place with the Verbal Morality Monitor from Demolition Man. And we saw project themes from Back to the Future, Hitchhiker's Guide, Doctor Who, and of course Trek and Wars. It is such a pleasure to see fictitious future tech come to life.
