Still High from Supercon Nice to See You All! By OK, this is the last time I'll write about the Hack

Still High from Supercon [Hackaday] This Week in Security: More WhatsApp [Read article now »]( Nice to See You All! By [Elliot Williams]( OK, this is the last time I'll write about the Hackaday Superconference until next year, I promise. But I'm still on the high you get from meeting with so many great people and seeing more than a few awesome presentations. If you haven't yet, you should check out the [videos that we've already got up on YouTube.]( There's more to it than just the main stage, however. Some of the most heartwarming moments I saw were people who are probably the leading experts in the world for their particular hacking domain getting to know each other, trading tips, and forming future collaborations. It's all about the community, after all. I was in [Bitluni]'s talk about his efforts at getting high-end audio and video out of the ESP32, and in the audience were both [Charles Lohr], who gets NTSC video out of the ESP8266, and [Sprite_tm] whose hacks on the ESP8266 got him hired by Espressif, and who knows the ESP32 literally inside out. When you're at a conference and the three biggest brains on an admittedly crazy series of hacks get together, you just can't help but smile. So next year when we put out the call for proposals, or start offering tickets, jump on it. We sell out every year, and we want you to join us. It was great to meet everyone there. Until next Supercon. From The Blog [A Newbie Takes the SMD Challenge at Supercon]( By [Dan Maloney]( Do you have what it takes to solder 0402s? Dan didn"t, but his first try at surface-mount soldering went surprisingly well. You should try it too!
