[Giantland Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1933)]( Mickey's Service Station Vintage Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1935)
Mickey's Service Station introduced Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy as a comedy trio, which would soon become a popular formula for Disney films. In this short subject film, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy are service station mechanics. One day Pete comes by and demands that they fix a squeak in his tire. Unfortunately they are inept at making car repairs leading to hilarious hijinks and sight gags. Mickey's Service Station was directed by Ben Sharpsteen with animation by three of "Walt's Nine Old Men", Milt Kahl, Eric Larson and Woolie Reitherman. Walt provided the voice for Mickey along with Clarence Nash voicing Donald Duck and Pinto Colvig voicing Goofy. From Mickey's Service Station we have a superb drawing of Goofy and Donald Duck. The drawing was rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. This vintage production art is in Very Good condition.

Pair of original hand-painted 12 field production cel setups from this fondly-remembered action/adventure series. In the first, Mer-Man is as slippery as a fish, in a 2-cel setup, placed on a print background. It's from the first season episode #4, "Diamond Ray of Disappearance," which first aired on 9-5-83. He-Man is 3.5" tall and Mer-Man is 6" long as he deftly leaps over the muscled man of might. The setup includes a Filmation COA. The second is a 3-cel setup, placed on a print background. Included are the matching animation drawings, plus an additional drawing and photocopy that are stapled to the original Filmation folder; a COA is also included. The Mer-Man setup is in Fine condition; the drawings average Very Good. The Repton setup has some unfortunate heat damage, and is in Fair condition.

Sequel to Shinobi, and the first game in the popular series on the Sega Genesis. Stars Joe Musashi, one of the top ten ninja video game characters as the protagonist and now-Sega-mascot. This game has had five different software versions since its initial release as it has faced a myriad of licensing issues for its villains that were blatant ripoffs of Rambo, Jackie Chan, The Terminator, Spider-Man, Batman, and Godzilla - whew, a long list indeed!

[September 23 Fine Jewerly Signature Auction #5427]( Blister Pearl, Platinum, Gold Brooch, Sterlé, French
Pierre Sterlé (1905-1978)
Thrust into the jewelry trade at an early age, Pierre Sterlé honed his skills in Paris at the dawn of the twentieth century. By age thirty he had become designer to some of the most prominent jewelry houses of the day, while developing his own signature style. His penchant for fine metalwork and inspired design was immortalized in Colette's Le Fanal bleu (1949). Instead of mass-production, Sterlé focused on one-of-a-kind pieces for private clients including King Farouk of Egypt, the Maharani of Baroda, and the Begum Aga Khan.
Inspired by the movement of life, this [hummingbird brooch]( is a demonstration of Sterlé's master craftsmanship. The original creative artwork for the brooch dates to Paris circa 1965. The hummingbird, perched upon a branch of meticulously textured 18k gold is almost lifelike in its appearance, with its head cocked upward toward to wearer as if waiting for acknowledgment of its diamond eyes. The body of this lovely creature features a blister pearl finished with a fan of 18kt gold tail feathers.
Whether for an ornithophile or jewelry collector, this bespoke brooch represents a chance to own an exquisite part of Parisian couture.
