November 15-17 Having trouble viewing this email? [View online version](. [Heritage Auctions]( [Comics Specialist Picks]( Our Comic and Comic Art curators picked some of their favorite items from our upcoming [November 15-17 Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction - Dallas #7192]( [Mwanza Dover] Mwanza's Picks Cataloger, Comics [Bill Sienkiewicz New Mutants #24 Story Page 22 Cloak and Dagger Original Art (Marvel, 1985)]( This page from New Mutants #24 showcases Bill Sienkiewicz's unique art style blending fine art concepts such as cubism and expressionism. A refined modern art style that his previous work only hinted at and was a shock to the system of traditional comic art at the time. Sienkiewicz's work during his New Mutants run has been often cited for reinventing comic art for the modern age and heavily influencing an entire generation of boundary-pushing artists that followed. [Bill Sienkiewicz New Mutants #24 Story Page 22 Cloak and Dagger Original Art (Marvel, 1985)]( [Weldon Adams] Weldon's Picks Comics Cataloger [Jim Aparo Comic Reader #130 Cover Batman and Fiends Original Art (Street Enterprises, 1976)]( Jim Aparo's Batman has long been considered one of the Dark Knight's most classic looks. You would be hard pressed to find a more perfect Aparo image than this piece that combines a dynamic Batman, with a striking Bat-symbol silhouette and looming images of some of his biggest foes. As a bonus, it was also the cover for an issue of The Comic Reader, which is how fans got news on upcoming issues before the dawn of the Internet. [Jim Aparo Comic Reader #130 Cover Batman and Fiends Original Art (Street Enterprises, 1976)]( [Nick Cardy Batman #254 Cover Man-Bat Original Art (DC, 1974)]( [Nick Cardy Batman #254 Cover Man-Bat Original Art (DC, 1974)]( Nick Cardy's Man-Bat is just Bat-tastic! When you couple that with the fact that this was the cover for one of DC's 100-Page Super Spectacular issues that makes this a cover that tugs at the hearts of many fans. Those 100-page issues were jam-packed with reprints from the Golden Age and the 1950s. They introduced many Bronze Age fans to the comic lore of old. But let's just look at that Man-Bat again, o.k.? [Aaron White] Aaron's Picks Consignment Director, Comics [Gary Larson The Far Side Daily Comic Strip Gag Panel Original Art dated 4-7-83 (Chronicle Features, 1983)]( [Gary Larson The Far Side Daily Comic Strip Gag Panel Original Art dated 4-7-83 (Chronicle Features, 1983)]( Larson is one of my favorite strip artists/humorists and this bit has never not given me a smile. I'm very excited to see how it performs during the live session. [The Silver Surfer #4 Signature Series - Stan Lee (Marvel, 1969) CGC NM/MT 9.8 White pages]( A tough book to find in 9.8 due to the black cover, the Stan Lee signature pushes it over the top. [The Silver Surfer #4 Signature Series - Stan Lee (Marvel, 1969) CGC NM/MT 9.8 White pages]( [Barry Sandoval] Barry's Picks Director, Operations: Comics [Dave Cockrum and Bob McLeod X-Men #94 Story Page 5 Original Art (Marvel, 1975)]( [Dave Cockrum and Bob McLeod X-Men #94 Story Page 5 Original Art (Marvel, 1975)]( What a treat it is to have a page from the ultra-key X-Men #94, and this is one of the most important pages in the issue. [Cat-Man Comics #19 (Et-Es-Go, 1943) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Off-white pages]( It's hard to pick just one Cat-Man issue from the whole run we're selling, but this is the best copy we've offered of a great Hitler/Mussolini/Tojo cover. [Cat-Man Comics #19 (Et-Es-Go, 1943) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Off-white pages]( [Rube Goldberg Collier's Weekly 'The Inventions of Professor Lucifer G. Butts, A.K.' Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-8-31 (McNaught Syndicate, c. 1931)]( Almost everyone has heard of a "Rube Goldberg device," and we're offering the chance to own an early original. [Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #1 First Print (Robert Overstreet, 1970) CGC NM- 9.2 White pages.]( Surviving copies of the first Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide tend to have browning on the cover, and the fact that this doesn't have such browning makes it possibly the best copy we've ever offered. [Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #1 First Print (Robert Overstreet, 1970) CGC NM- 9.2 White pages.]( [Doc Savage - March 1933 (#1) (Street & Smith) Condition: VG-]( [Doc Savage - March 1933 (#1) (Street & Smith) Condition: VG-]( We've only seen two unrestored copies of this key hero pulp in our 17 years, with this being the best!
