A masterstroke, that. Here, the rubberoid hero eavesdrops to learn how his automobile is used as a hiding place by jewel thieves. He appears in civilian guise, barring one Elongated Ear showing up in the first and final panels. Delightful to see Infantino inking his own pencils in that breezy-confident pen-and-brush style. When we spotted these in a Heritage coin catalog we had to know more. Our numismatic cataloger Brian Koller was kind enough to fill us in: Non-circulating legal tender bullion coins are made in great variety by mints throughout the world, but one issue is of special interest to Marvel collectors. In 2017, the Cook Islands issued one-ounce gold and silver [coins that promoted the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming](. The webslinger appears 3D if you tilt the coin carefully. The gold coins have a face value of $200 and a tiny mintage of 250 pieces, while the silver coins have a face value of $5 and a production of 25,000 pieces. The coins were designed by former U.S. Mint Chief Engraver John Mercanti, and struck by the Mayer Mint in Germany. The obverse of the coins bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, usual for Cook Islands coinage. Three examples of the one-ounce gold coin appear in the November Heritage U.S. Coins Dallas Signature, as lots 8099 through 8101. The lots are accompanied by a red presentation box and a certificate of authenticity signed by Spider-Man's creator, Stan Lee. You can have a look at all three lots and [place your bids here](.
