The UK gets 28. Sweden gets 25. Mexico gets 20. The US? Zilch. Here’s what I’m talking about. If you are having trouble viewing this email, [click here.]( [Dr. Steven Gundry | Founder, Gundry MD]( {NAME}, The UK gets 28. Sweden gets 25. Mexico gets 20. The US? Zilch. I’m talking about guaranteed vacation days! And that’s too bad. Because vacations can give you a huge health boost.1  Did you know vacations date back to ancient Egypt? Researchers found graffiti inside a pyramid that reads, “Hadnachte and his brother Panachti have been here to make an excursion and enjoy Memphis.” Translation: Hadnachte and Panachti are on vacation!2 It turns out, Hadnachte and Panachti were really onto something. Because modern-day research shows taking a well-earned vacation is fantastic for your wellbeing — helping promote calm, reduce pain, and even support your heart health.3,4,5 And while a full-blown getaway might be out of the question this time of year... That doesn’t mean we can’t daydream! In fact — reminiscing over your past vacations can be a great way to boost the “happy hormones” in your brain. Personally, I love to think back on an amazing trip my wife and I took to Italy.  The weather was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the wine was even better — it was truly a memorable, relaxing week for us. So with that in mind, I’d love to know: What’s your favorite vacation you’ve taken? Where did you go? Who were you with? What was it like?! Maybe you went to a tropical island getaway, or took a big cross-country road trip... Perhaps you booked a flight to your “bucket list” destination on a whim... Or maybe you simply turned off your cell phone, and enjoyed a much-needed “staycation” at home. Whatever it is, I’d LOVE to read about it. (Just click “reply” to this email and share!) I’ll read through each response over the next couple of days. And who knows, maybe even share a few of your snippets in a future Gundry MD newsletter. (After all, I’m sure we could all use some vacation inspiration for the future.) So don’t be shy! Reply to this email and tell me about the BEST vacation you ever took. Can’t wait to hear from you — this will be fun. :) Looking out for you, Steven Gundry, MD [Steven Gundry, MD](  Sources 1. Mills D. How America’s “No Vacation” Culture Is Harming Our Health.
