It’s my 73rd birthday next week, and you’re invited to the party! Here’s the inside scoop. If you are having trouble viewing this email, [click here.]( [Dr. Steven Gundry | Founder, Gundry MD]( {NAME}, mark your calendar. Because Tuesday, July 11th — aka National Polyphenol Day — is almost upon us! My team and I created this “health holiday” to celebrate polyphenols. The powerful nutrients in foods like olive oil, coffee, dark chocolate, wine, and berries which help spark youthful energy, better digestion, and a healthy heart. And guess what? July 11th also happens to be my 73rd birthday. So I’m honored these two occasions are now linked together. :) After all, if you’ve been following me for any amount of time, you probably know: Consuming polyphenols is one of the best things you can do for your health.  I'm extremely passionate about polyphenols because they helped me overcome joint issues, migraines, diabetes, obesity, and virtually age in reverse. I initially made this discovery after meeting Big Ed — a so-called ‘hopeless patient’ suffering from heart disease. By simply adding polyphenols to his diet, he was able to make a stunning turnaround. (I could hardly believe it.) Of course, back in those days — I was dangerously overweight myself. We’re talking high blood pressure, bad cholesterol, digestive issues, the whole nine yards. I ran 30 miles a week and ate a low-fat, vegetarian diet. Yet no matter what I did, the weight wouldn’t budge. I had started to worry that my best years were behind me. But thanks to Big Ed and the power of polyphenols — I was able to lose 70 pounds in just one year, and feel strong, fit, and active again. And I’ve been preaching about these incredible nutrients ever since! In fact, to help celebrate National Polyphenol Day this year — I just released a brand new YouTube video explaining [what exactly polyphenols are and how they can transform your health.]() So I encourage you to give it a watch and get in on the fun. You can also follow all the festivities of National Polyphenol Day (including exclusive tips, new recipes, and jaw-dropping giveaways) over on my Instagram [@GundryMD.]() It’s going to be epic and I want you right there with me! Thanks for being part of this crazy ride, {NAME}. I’m so honored to be part of your health journey and I’m truly thrilled you’re part of the Gundry MD family. Looking out for you, Steven Gundry, MD [Steven Gundry, MD]( P.S. Every year I post my Gundry-approved chocolate birthday cake. And I get flooded with requests for the recipe! So this year, I wanted to show you exactly how to make it. It’s absolutely delicious… low in sugar and lectins… and packed with polyphenols to help you thrive. [Click here to get my delicious ‘Life By Chocolate’ cake recipe]()  If you give this cake a try, be sure to write back and let me know what you think. I think you love it just as much as I do. (It’s perfect any time of year — whether there’s a birthday or not.) Ok, that’s everything for now. I’m off to get a little work done before the Polyphenol Day celebrations on Tuesday.
