a nightmare story [View in Web Browser]( A true nightmare story on why you need an email list: Back in 2016... I owned an ecom store selling products in the dystopian fashion niche. Think "Mad Max" type stuff. I had one of the biggest stores in the space, doing multiple 6-figures a month selling sunglasses, watches, corsets, jewelry, hats, and more. Marketing was sooo much easier at the time too. All I had to do was find a product, put a picture of it on a colored background in Canva, write 3 lines of ad copy, and run Facebook and Instagram ads to it. And boom, sales would pour in. It was a gold rush. My email list grew by thousands of subscribers a month and I also had a Facebook group with 80k+ members. Whenever I wanted a fun weekend out at the bars, all I had to do was send an email and make a post in the group. And boom, fun for the entire weekend paid in full. Life was great. Biz was growing. Big boi dollars being made hand over fist. Until one day... I woke up to see my ad account was shutdown. My biggest traffic source just went poof overnight, without notice. Even worse, my personal Facebook profile was deactivated. So I didn't have access to my group either. What a nightmare! Without my email list? I would've been COOKED. Yes, I still got screwed. Yes, it still sucked azz. And yes, my sales dropped by quite a bit. But because of my email list, I was able to keep the show going while I figured things out with Facebook. Which brings me to my point... Social media is powerful for business. You should absolutely use it. But don't make it your only thing. Relying on it is like building your biz on a house of cards. One gust of wind can knock it over. Your main focus should be your email list. It's an asset you own, and if for some reason you get booted off social media, you don't completely lose your azz. This is why the Email Rainmaker protocol is what it is: - Start an email list - Grow it with quality subscribers - Make offers to your list and get paid I know "ghosts" doing 7-8 figures a year as a one-person business by only focusing on email. Zero social media content. Again, use social if it's making you money. I've made a truckload of cash from social and it's been a great tool to grow my list. But your email list is the real long-term treasure, so treat it as such. If you want some help with starting, growing, and making money from your email list... I'm looking to work 1-on-1 with 4 more people this month. If you have unique expertise to create a list around, and proof that you know your stuff, this could be up your alley. Reply "1-on-1" to this and I'll get you the details. Your compadre, Sean "build your list" Anthony [Unsubscribe]( | Sent by SAP Ventures, LLC 24 Roy Street • Seattle, WA • 98109
