Welcome to another edition of the GrowthHackers newsletter, where we bring you the latest experiments from industry leaders that can inspire your own growth strategies. This week, we're diving into the world of AI, short-form video, and new ways to connect with audiences across platforms. Open Door at OpenAI: OpenAI is shaking things up by offering free access to its conversational AI, ChatGPT, [without needing an account](. This PLG-inspired move broadens user reach but limits features (no saved chats, customization). It's a gamble on accessibility for data collection, raising questions about the future of AI interaction, and potentially shaping how SaaS companies approach frictionless product trials.  YouTube Experiments with "Jump Ahead". [Their new experiment]( to engage their users leverages an AI-powered recommendation system that will analyze a user’s watch behavior data and, then predict and jump to the parts viewers would want to see. At this point, the new feature is being tested with select YouTube Premium users in the U.S.  LinkedIn Goes TikTok: In yet another product experiment, LinkedIn is now [testing a dedicated video feed](, for full screen vertical short videos.  This could revolutionize professional connection with bite-sized career advice, industry leader insights, and glimpses into company culture. This is your chance to be a growth pioneer! Experiment with video formats and see how your audience responds.  The Power of Direct Connection. LinkedIn has [rolled out Company Page Messaging to all brands](, empowering growth professionals to facilitate direct communication with potential customers. This is a prime opportunity to experiment with lead nurturing strategies through personalized messaging and engagement within the platform.  Another report highlighting a decline in X usage, with [Edison Research's Infinite Dial survey]( (though limited in sample size) shows a 30% year-over-year drop in users. While the report's findings align with other survey results and indicated a trend, the decision to advertise on X hinges on your target audience -  if they're still actively using X, it might still be a viable advertising avenue.  Reddit is rolling out a [toolbox of new ad creation features]( designed to boost engagement and streamline ad development. The star of the show is the AI-powered "Smart Headlines" tool, which leverages Reddit's data on successful ad formats and user preferences to suggest compelling ad copy. Time to test different variations and approaches  to unlocking the full potential of your Reddit ad campaigns.  New Ad Re-Engagement Tool: Meta is giving advertisers more control and insight within its Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns with the introduction of a [new audience targeting option](. This update allows you to specifically target engaged customers, those who have shown interest in your products or services but haven't yet converted into paying customers.  Google's Search Generative Experience (SGE) is commig, but when? While the official launch date remains under wraps (rumors point to a possible May 14th reveal at Google I/O), Google has  already begun [testing AI-powered answer snippets]( within regular search results. This could significantly impact user behavior, leaving questions on how the roll out will be conducted  to limit the impact on Google search ads clicks, its number one revenue-generating source. Stay tuned for further updates!  Snapchat is rolling out a [range of new creative and collaborative options](, including new AI powered Lenses, new “Templates”, and is extending its video length limits (up to 5 minutes), among others. It remains to be seen, however, if Snap users really want longer videos in the app.  Stay tuned next week for more growth insights. This move eliminates a login barrier, potentially reaching a wider audience and allowing anyone to experience the capabilities of ChatGPT.
