[Ground Game Texas] {NAME}, It’s people like you—who believe Texas deserves leaders who will fight for progressive change–that are powering our grassroots movement to change our state for the better. We wanted to take a moment to answer some important questions you may have about Ground Game Texas—like who are we? What are we fighting for? And how are we going to win? [(If you don’t have time right now to keep reading, but you know you’re with us in this fight, consider chipping in $5 or more to help us keep building momentum! Thanks, {NAME}.)]( Who are we? Ground Game Texas is a statewide grassroots organization focused on year-round organizing and voter contact, harnessing the power of organizers and local organizations to deliver progressive change community-by-community. We were launched by two progressive former congressional candidates who believe in the power of grassroots organizing. But Ground Game Texas is much bigger than us–we rely on the support of countless organizers, local partners, volunteers, and (hopefully) donors like you! What are we fighting for? At Ground Game Texas, we believe change comes from the ground up. That’s why we’ve launched local grassroots campaigns across the state of Texas that are registering new voters and mobilizing the electorate behind progressive policies. We like to call our priorities “workers, wages, and weed” — meaning we’re putting policies on the ballot in communities across Texas that support workers and their families, raise wages and benefits for employees, and end the War on Drugs in the state of Texas. We’ve launched nearly a dozen campaigns and recently passed an initiative in Austin to decriminalize marijuana and ban no-knock police raids. How are we going to win? Our ideas are popular and motivate voters of all kinds to get to the polls. Ideas like a $15 minimum wage, marijuana decriminalization, and green jobs initiatives to help tackle the climate crisis. With each one of our campaigns, we identify and help register lots of new voters. Then we mobilize those voters to get to the polls on Election Day to support our initiatives. “Flipping” Texas can’t happen overnight – but by putting progressive change directly on the ballot, we’re bringing new voters into the process and mobilizing them like never before. Ground Game Texas is going on offense. We’re delivering progressive change to this state with the help of voters—and we hope you’ll join us in that fight. [Consider pitching in right now to become a sustaining donor to Ground Game Texas.]( [>> Become a sustaining donor <<]( Together we’ll deliver a better Texas for all.
