The claim that there are only four words in the English language that end in "dous" (tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous) is a common misconception, but it is not entirely accurate. There are actually many more words that end in "dous" in English. Here are some additional examples of words that end in "dous": Anxious, nervous, credulous, jealous, fabulous, melodious, tedious, spacious, perilous, envious, dangerous, adventurous, courteous, pernicious, continuous, decorous, ferocious, glorious, indecorous, and meticulous. And many more. The list of words ending in "dous" goes beyond just the four examples mentioned in the claim. It's essential to remember that the English language is vast and ever-evolving, and there are countless words with various endings, including "dous."
