THIS IS A THING
Have you ever met anything trendier than CBD LaCroix?
This is not a joke, we swear! There's a company selling [CBD-infused sparkling water]( packaged in pastel-colored cans to anxiety-ridden millennials (and whoever else wants them, we guess). The idea is to give people what they want (CBD!) in a format they're already consuming (sparkling water!) instead of asking them to hit a vape pen or eat a gummy in the middle of their open-plan office during the workday.
It's honestly kind of smart
Though it sounds and looks like a parody, this company probably has the right idea. CBD products are inarguably having a moment—by 2022, the CBD market is [expected to grow]( to a $2.1 billion industry. [People are turning to CBD]( for relief from issues related to anxiety, stress, pain, inflammation, PTSD, insomnia, infertility, acne, libido, hiccups, tinnitus, autism, hepatitis C, anorexia, endometriosis, meth addiction, and even cancer.
Whoa. Can it really do all that?
No, it can't. That's the problem. Scientists are still in the process of researching CBD and coming to FDA-approved conclusions, so right now, [the only thing we know for sure]( is that CBD helps pediatric epilepsy. (Which probably doesn't help you.)
However, there's promising initial evidence that CBD can treat anxiety, chronic pain, inflammation, headaches, epilepsy, and insomnia. We'll most likely get official answers in these areas soon, but that's pretty much it for now—everything else has only been tested on animals or not tested at all.
The good news is there aren't really any side effects to trying CBD, other than the cost. So you can go out and see for yourself what works—gather your anecdotal evidence and report back to your coworkers over a trendy can of CBD sparkling water. You'll fit right in.

Try this
Anxiety isn't fun, but (when properly directed), it can actually boost your job performance. Anxious people put in more effort at work because they rarely settle into a state of being comfortable. To keep from letting stress take over, try channeling your natural energy into excitement. It'll help you focus on the positive and stay on your A-game. [Greatist](

Being out of shape is as bad for you as smoking
You know being in shape is good and being out of shape is bad, but [a new study]( identified just how good/bad both those things are. And it is... alarming.
The study looked at the lifespan and aerobic fitness of study participants (instead of relying on possibly skewed answers about exercise habits) and found a couple things: First, the more in shape people were, the longer they lived. Second, there's no such thing as being "too fit"—it's not like elite athletes pass a point where exercise stops being useful and ultimately causes premature death. And third, when it comes to lifespan, the risks associated with being unfit are nearly the same as those associated with smoking and having heart disease.

Workout-to-work wear you can actually work out in and wear to work
For years I was the judgmental, eye-rolling coworker anytime someone so much as mentioned squeezing exercise into the workday. I mean, that's great that you rode your bike to work again, Karen, but some of us don't have the benefit of lightly glistening during physical activity. I sweat. A lot. To the point where I'd have to roll into an a.m. meeting with matted hair and a drenched shirt if I rode my bike for more than a block.
But wouldn't you know it, workout wear is always evolving to help people like me get it together
Recently, the [AthletaCommuter]( line came into my life, and now I'm the new Karen humble-bragging my way through the week. This line of athleisure is what it sounds like—workout wear that you can actually wear to work. GENIUS.
I was skeptical at first, but damn if these threads don't look boardroom ready. Each [blazer](, [legging](, and [button-down]( is designed with moisture-wicking fabric that disguises sweat and keeps you looking fresh. Throw in a post-workout body wipe and you've got no reason not to go for that lunch run or prework barre class. Trust me, it's worth every penny.
