So Roger Scott is hosting a special event at 1 p.m. ET on Monday to cover exactly how he plans to trade it — get his No. 1 election stock and sector! SAVE THE DATE: 1 P.M. ET ON MONDAY, MAY 6!]( Why Bad Economic News Is Good for This Market in the Near Term Hey, Graham Lindman here… Take a look at this: [] Believe it or not, what you’re seeing is NOT a gangbuster earnings move. It’s actually the S&P 500 (SPY) exploding higher after this morning’s jobs report for the month of April. Now, you’re going to have put your backward thinking cap on for a second because this is counterintuitive… The jobs report was bad, which means the economy is slowing. Bad, right? Actually, it’s a good thing for the stock market because it means the Federal Reserve is more likely to cut rates sooner rather than later if things get worse. That means debt will be cheaper to carry, so stocks can rally in a hurry — particularly tech stocks because growth companies often carry more debt. In a nutshell, bad economic news is good news for the market in the near term. And this all led into a banner day after my 3 p.m. live trading session on Thursday, where we traded Apple (AAPL) earnings, Nvidia (NVDA), Fortinet (FTNT) and Coinbase (COIN)... What a way to head into the weekend! This was all covered in Thursday’s free session, so be sure and join the fun next time if you missed out! If you were able to attend, I’d really appreciate it if you took a moment to give me some feedback — I have a very special and FREE bonus at the end that I think will help with your trading! [Just go here to fill it out.]( The big winner of course was Apple, which doubled the market makers’ implied move. Hopefully, AAPL will roar back to all-time highs and then some! That’s all for this week, but next is sure to be jam-packed, so rest up and we’ll see you Monday! [] _______________________________________________ [] What’s Next for Interest Rates… Curious about the Fed’s next move for interest rates? Not only are active day and swing traders looking forward to the day interest rates are cut… But young, everyday investors are, too! I’m sure you have a child or friend who’s gotten stuck paying 7% to 8% interest on their mortgage… Or a loved one who simply can’t afford a home right now. This is a major segment Roger Scott will touch on during [his biggest event of the year at 1 p.m. ET on Monday, May 6: Big Picture 2024!]( Roger will expand on what he sees coming for interest rates… And while he cannot promise future returns or against losses, he will give out his top predictions for the remainder of 2024, top stock and sector, and his new way to “piggyback” on institutional and hedge fund buying activity as it’s happening!
