Nick LaLota and House Republicans claim they want to protect our country, but REFUSE to act to keep

Nick LaLota and House Republicans claim they want to protect our country, but REFUSE to act to keep us safe. Hi {NAME}, New York's First District and communities nationwide are reeling from the devastating impact of the fentanyl epidemic. Lives are being lost, families torn apart – and urgent action is long overdue. Right now, however, House Republicans like Mike Johnson, Steve Scalise, and my opponent, Nick LaLota, are holding up the passage of the National Security Act, which includes critical funding for programs through the FEND Off Fentanyl Act. This comes directly after they killed a bipartisan agreement on border security. House Republicans claim to want to protect our country, but they REFUSE to act to keep us safe. We deserve better. We deserve leaders who will fight for us, not ignore our safety while they play politics. [A compilation of photos from the Goroff HQ office opening party showing a large crowd gathered.]( There's a lot a president can do and there's also a lot a Member of Congress can do on immigration. But we know LaLota helped to tank this bipartisan immigration reform bill along with the right wing extremists in his party because Trump told them to. And instead of doing the job he was sent to Congress to do, Nick is spending his time attacking me on social media. {NAME}, I'll work to find common ground and solid solutions for Suffolk County and our country. I need you with me to FLIP this seat and restore a Democratic majority in the House next year so we can get to work. Can I count on you to help me raise another $4,200 online by Friday night to hit our weekly fundraising target? You can donate here: [( Our field and communications plan is now in full effect, and we're talking to hundreds of voters each day. Every dollar we raise will help us reach the voters we need to win – and we appreciate any amount you could contribute today.
