Hi {NAME}, My Republican opponent had over $800,000 in the bank going into the third quarter. On Sunday night, with quarterly filings due, we'll find out how much more money he has on hand now. NY-01 is one of the most expensive media markets in the nation, and outside groups have poured money into this district. In fact, in 2020 over $30 million was spent here! Just days after our launch last week, The Hill reported that the American Action Network (a dark money group connected to former Speaker McCarthy's PAC) has already started spending in NY-01. Thankfully, I know I have the community behind me, and will be able to raise the resources to flip this seat in 2024. Already, on Day 2 of our race, a Politico Morning Report headline said "Goroff went off." My friends, family, community, and people with our shared values sent a powerful message with their support that we're ready to end the dysfunction in Congress. Long Island and our nation need a leader who understands the science, and is willing to put in the work to find solutions to our common problems.
