The latest news from Go Overseas. We ❤️ Study Abroad! Go Overseas and Study Abroad go together like peanut butter and jelly. We love study abroad, and we like to think that study abroad loves us – after all, we provide loads of resources to help students find the perfect study abroad program for them, in countries around the world. This week, I've been thinking a lot about study abroad, and about how few students in the U.S. study abroad (the generally cited statistic is only 10%). In my considerations, I wonder: do students really know the full benefits of study abroad? Do you? Study abroad is so much more than flying to a new country to spend time in a different classroom, maybe learning some different subjects. Study abroad provides so many other benefits within and beyond the classroom! One of our goals at Go Overseas is to help spread the word about these benefits so that students can appreciate how meaningful their study abroad experience can be. To that end, we teamed up with our partners at USAC to produce a post about surprising benefits of study abroad: [8 Surprising Benefits of Study Abroad]( In this article, we cover everything from academic benefits to personal and professional benefits. We dive in to show you – or a student you care about – why study abroad should be part of your educational plan from day one.
