Week-over-week gold slid by about $50 due to the US Dollar's relentless strength all summer. Historically, financial markets are lighter this time of year, with investors and analysts finding time for vacation before the busier Q4 hits. High inflation reports this week pushed support toward the US Dollar, resulting in a headwind against the price of gold. Talks this week with the FED confirmed that while future interest rate hikes are still on the table (there is now a prediction of a +0.50% hike in September), there is also a willingness to ease the increases once they assess inflation is cooling. The summer slump may continue for gold next week as Wednesday's FOMC minutes and further discussion of monetary policy appear to be the major highlight in yet another slim financial news week. Gold closed at $1,747.00. [BUY GOLD & SILVER AT JM BULLION]( 📰 Top Stories     🔥 Gold Price RECAP: August 15 - August 19 Happy Friday, traders.
