Gold had a big slide throughout the week, but averted a drop below $1900 and rebounded slightly to end the week at $1921.49. While inflation is expected to swell in the short term with the news of the rate hike, the US Stock Markets ended the week in the green and the S&P 500 closed on its best single week of the year! The immediate path for gold will vary depending on the next steps taken by the Fed, as well as the real potential of commodities being disrupted by a ground war in Ukraine. However, for now, there appears to be a floor for gold at $1900. Gold is currently trading at $1,921.49.
