He's calling out the Democratic Party for their over-the-top pandering to minority groups, a tactic that’s not only failing miserably but also steering the party towards an electoral cliff. Maher Pulls No Punches You've seen it, I've seen it—we've all cringed at it. Remember Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi parading around in Kente cloth? Maher didn’t hesitate to call out this cringe-worthy attempt to garner votes as the empty gesture it was. He’s not holding back, and why should he? It's high time someone within the left's own ranks pointed out the obvious: this kind of racial pandering isn't winning Democrats any points. The Absurdity of Identity Politics And it gets more ludicrous. Maher spotlighted California's bizarre take on AMBER alerts—differentiating them by race. "Ebony alerts" for Black children, "feather" alerts for Native American kids. It's as if Democrats are trying to segregate even our concern for missing children. If it weren't so serious, it'd be laughable. Facing the Facts Maher's not just making noise; he's backed by cold, hard facts. He points out the stark increase in multiracial Americans and the acceptance of interracial marriages, poking fun at how out-of-touch the left's obsession with racial identity really is. It's a world where 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' wouldn't even make sense as a remake. Why? Because America has moved on, even if the Democrats haven't. Celebrities and Common Sense Even Hollywood's getting it. Maher cites Black icons like Idris Elba and Morgan Freeman, who've openly questioned the left's fixation on race. If these cultural giants see the folly in it, why can't the Democrats? The answer's simple: they're stuck in a failed paradigm, losing grip on the very demographics they claim to represent. A Wake-Up Call What Maher’s fiery critique boils down to is a wake-up call. He’s challenging the Democrats to snap out of their identity politics trance and face the real issues: class disparities, economic struggles, and the actual concerns of everyday Americans. It’s a message that’s overdue, and it’s one we, as conservatives, have understood for years. It's about the content of your character, not the color of your skin or the identity group you belong to. Let’s go Maher's plea to the Democrats to abandon their failed strategy of identity politics is more than just an internal critique—it's a sign of the times. As conservatives, we've known the folly of dividing Americans by identity rather than uniting them by values. It’s refreshing to see someone on the left catch up, even if it’s for a moment. The question now is, will the Democrats listen, or will they continue down the path of electoral irrelevance? For our part, let's continue championing the principles that bring us together, not the divisions the left seems so keen on exploiting. To Freedom, James Kelly Editor P.S.
