YES… How do I know? Because I have been on both sides of the fence. In 1997-98 is when I first jumped online… What most people do not know is I started online because I got severe “Aspartame Poisoning” YEP… I lost 90 lbs and had severe migraines every day for 7 years!!! As Joel Osteen said it best in his best selling book "Every day a Friday" .. Ok.. you get the point. It was the winter of 1998 where I personally took the plung.. YEP I quit my job for two reasons.. 1. I HATED it with a passion 2. Severe illness from Aspartame Poisoning My mom cried... (literally) My aunts and uncles told me I would fail.. My friends, when I picked up and moved to Texas laughed and said "He will be back in 3 months tops" I don't know about you, but are you not as sick and tired as I was listening to people who just to be honest have the wrong mindset.. One minute they tell you that you are "stupid" and yet in the same breath they quite frankly "bitch" about life and their bills... You know the type I am talking about.. the people who tell you.. OMG you are thinking of going to a stupid conference? Don't do it, they just want your money ... its a SCAM!! Ok .. you get it, my life is still filled with people like that I have just learned not to share any of my ideas with them. It was a few years into my online venture where I was not making any money at all where I started to think.. "OMG .. maybe they are right.. maybe I am stupid.. maybe they are all scammers?" I admit... as time went on with zero success this feeling of they were "right" I was wrong became stronger and stronger.. [But then, and this is a true story..]( I went to my very first live event.. The people there were amazing, the atmosphere was electric and the people there LOVED my ideas... That event changed my perspective forever.. here is why.. >> I met a ton of like minded people >> I did joint ventures with many of them that actually made me money. >> I was convinced that once again I made the right decision >> I have NEVER SECOND guessed my decision since.. I came home from that event completely energized, and one thing I learned from that event was to "come out of my comfort zone" So that weekend, I had a billionaire ... ummm yes billionaire client that I would do his personal training for in his 35 000 square foot home. His name is Dr. Michael Cowpland, former CEO of Corel.com Because of that event I became brave enough to share my online ideas with him. Here is what changed my life and mindset for good.. Ready?? He LOVED my ideas, so much so that he had me in front of the board of directors at Corel 4 days later!!! Unfortunately the board voted against my idea, but that did not matter Here is why... It made me realize without question I was "hanging with the wrong people and sharing my ideas with the wrong people too.." Yet.. all of my immediate friends and family, none who lived in a home bigger than 2000 sq. feet said my ideas were dumb, risky and were not going to work...
