Another day, another bad take from the NRA

AR-15s are designed to kill as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. Far too often, they end up in the wrong hands, which has led us to the terrifying status quo we’re in today. Assault rifles have been used in the most horrific mass shootings in modern history. The NRA wants more people to buy AR-15s because that means more gunmaker profits. But these uniquely dangerous firearms pose a danger to public safety and must be regulated accordingly. We must continue our fight to keep these guns out of the wrong hands by passing measures like universal background checks and extreme risk protection orders (a.k.a. “red flag laws”).
