Sharing some morning reflections with you

While I was enjoying my coffee this morning, I found my thoughts drifting to all of you and the movement that we’ve built together to fight for a future free from gun violence. I feel so much hope when I think about the progress we have made over the past ten years, and I hope you do too. Hundreds of thousands of people have stepped up and contributed to GIFFORDS since our founding. And each contribution, no matter how big or small, has made a huge impact on our movement. In the past ten years, GIFFORDS has helped pass over 525 gun safety laws at the state level. Last year, we passed the most significant federal gun safety legislation in nearly three decades. Right now, we’re closer to enacting universal background checks than we’ve ever been before. This is real progress, but there’s still so much more work to do.
