I’ve found that true in my recovery, and in our work to fix our gun laws. There are setbacks—some minor, some almost impossible to bear. And there are victories—some that go largely unnoticed, and others that feel transformational. Each requires us to resist complacency and recommit ourselves to keep moving forward. It's easy to look at our federal gun laws and say nothing has changed since Sandy Hook—or to be skeptical about the potential for change after Uvalde. But please let me assure you, if you look at our work and the way the ground is shifting in states across the country, we're getting closer ... much closer.
