An AR-15 was the weapon used in Parkland, Las Vegas, Sandy Hook, and so many more tragedies. If these attacks had been perpetrated by someone wielding a swiss army knife, there'd be a lot of Americans still alive today. However, this past Friday, an extremist federal judge prioritized these weapons of war over the lives of Californians when he overturned California’s 32-year long assault weapons ban. The families who have lost loved ones to these weapons of war can attest to the reality that these weapons are not like ‘swiss army knives’ nor are mass shootings only a ‘very small’ problem. We are outraged by this misguided decision that has been influenced by the NRA. We are mobilizing nationwide to fight back against this ruling, because if it can happen in California it can happen anywhere.
