It's Not You, It's Your Framework Distractions are everywhere. They plague productivity, whether in the office or remote work.  One study found that on average it took people 25 minutes to resume working on an interrupted task.*  Motivation won't remove distractions though. It's better to use frameworks, like the Pomodoro technique, to keep you focused on your work. The Pomodoro Technique Francesco Cirillo created the Pomodoro technique to remove distractions from work. He wanted to complete his tasks efficiently.  The process is simple. First, identify a project you need to complete, it can be big or small. Then box your work into 25-minute increments.  You make a commitment to work on that task, and that task only, for the next 25 minutes. If you realize something else that needs to be done, jot a note and stick to your 25-minute task. [A timer on a desk] When the timer is finished, take a 5-minute break. Set another 25-minute timer after the break.  Repeat this process, and take a longer break after the fourth 25-minute increment.  Pomodoro is best suited for activities that need sustained concentration. Writing a report, responding to emails, reading, and studying.  The limits to the technique help you focus. You’re only doing one thing at a time, and there's time between each section to rest your brain.  Give it a try! If you're not interested in the Pomodoro technique, here are several other frameworks to compare. 👇 [More Productive Frameworks](   Upcoming Webinar [Register Now]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [LinkedIn]( [YouTube](   *Data sourced from [University of California Irvine.](  CloudApp helps you win back your calendar and stop wasting time in meetings and long emails.
