Does love have a smell? I mean, ever wonder why the universal smell of Valentines Day and love seems to be a mixture of roses, vanilla, and chocolate? Who decided on that combo anyway? Was there a committee meeting I missed? It’s really funny when you think about it. At some point, someone, somewhere, decided that love smells like roses. Maybe it was the way they look – all open and vulnerable, or maybe it's because they’re as complex and layered as love itself. (Or maybe it's just because they were the only thing available to some dude at the last minute on February 13th) In all seriousness, roses have been a symbol of love going back a whole long time (even longer than your Uncle Tommy's been around if you can believe it). If you're curious, [here's a little writeup]( I found, scrounging around the internet on the history of roses. Isn't that WILD by the way? I can just come up with a random stoner question like "why roses?" and the answer is right there at my finger tips! Try to remember all the random questions or curiosities you had as a kid, that just never got answered... What was I gonna do? Ask my mum? Pedal my bike down to the library and ask the lady behind the counter if they had a book on the history of roses? (She'd have called my house and told them to lock me in a loonie bin... ) But now... Click, and all the information in the world is right there! I think we forget how cool that really is too often... Anyway, I was talking about roses, right? Right! Now, don’t get me wrong, roses are great. They’re beautiful, they’re classic, and they've got those little thorns that remind you love isn’t always easy. But if you ask me, nothing beats the sweet smell of green to really get the heart going. So, this Valentine's Day, while the world is busy smelling like a flower shop, why not add a little green to your red? After all, love comes in all scents and colors, man. And speaking of love, don’t forget we’re spreading it in our own special way with the LOVE sale over at [GetChongCBD.com]( and [Cheechandchong.com](. You get 30% off and free shipping when you enter the code LOVE at checkout. It's a great opportunity to pick up something special for you or someone you love (or both). But hey, you'll also never catch me judging a fresh dozen of roses and a box of chocolates - if your Uncle Tommy has learned one thing after decades of being married, it's hard to go wrong with that combo.
